This website presents the activities of Bulgarian group in the research and development of biofuel cells. We are young team fascinated by the concept of biological fuel cells as novel alternative energy sources. The interdisciplinary aspects of biofuel cell technology unite scientists from the fields of biochemistry, microbiology and electrochemistry. Our group includes researchers from four institutions: Department of Chemistry at the South-West University of Blagoevgrad, Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology at the University of Plovdiv, Institute of Physicochemistry and Institute of Electrochemistry and Energy Sources at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
